CALCULATION METHODS FOR DIFFERENT TYPES OF PROPULSIONS SYSTEMS FOR DISPOSABLE GRENADE LAUNCHERS
Abstract
The paper shows calculations methods of disposable grenade launchers for infantry or airborne forces. The main goal of these calculations is determining of parameters ensuring recoilless and proper velocity of projectile according to requirements. The paper consists of calculation methods for four common types of recoilless propulsion systems: witch rocket solid fuel engine, recoilless systems with a simple launcher tube with an open rear part of the tube or with a launcher with a nozzle compensating of recoil and system with counter-mass. Another crucial aim of the calculations is determining the strength of critical elements, which allows checking up safety of a weapon during its development process.
